Background:
St Vincent's RC Primary School is a voluntary aided, co-educational day school for children aged five to 11. From small and difficult beginnings back in 1904 the school has flourished to become the success it is today. The teaching and practice of the Catholic faith for its pupils and staff are fundamental to the life of the school. Its pupils excel in many areas including sport, music and academic achievement. Children represent the school in numerous sporting activities including football, netball, cross-country running, rugby, basketball, athletics and baseball. The school aims to create a Catholic, caring atmosphere in which the children are made aware of God's love for them as individuals and as members of his family and where children experience and are taught Gospel values.
