Background:
Opened in 1957, it became a mixed comprehensive in 1975 and set in a rural location in East Riding of Yorkshire. The school draws pupils from Snaith and surrounding villages, and is attractively set in nine acres of playing fields. The school has excellent facilities with curriculum areas having designated specialist rooms. An excellent sports hall and extensive sports fields are shared with the local community. The school library has a range of ICT facilities for use by both pupils and staff. A wide range of extra-curricular activities are offered at lunchtime and after-school. Activities such as climbing, abseiling and orienteering are offered to pupils along with numerous team-building exercises. The school aims to create and maintain a clean, safe and pleasant environment.
