Background:

Serving Anlaby, Kirkella and Willerby, the school is 'a caring community where learning is a foundation for life'. Many of the team and individual sports on offer in the curriculum can also be practiced at lunch time, and the school has built 'strong' links with local sports clubs and associations. Recent successes in sport include becoming East Riding soccer champions in four age groups and having a number of pupils represent the county in national athletics competitions. There are a number of instrumental groups, choirs and bands open to pupils, performing several concerts each year. Drama and dance opportunities also exist in annual musical and theatrical productions. 'Children with special educational needs are the responsibility of all teachers in the school, helped and supported by the Special Needs department, who also liaise closely with parents, the education support services, and our feeder schools'.
